Ketchup?

Oh sorry meant catch up. This week I've set to and caught up with the 52 card challenge over on UKScrappers. So here's week 3

Next is week 6
Following on is week 7

And finally week 8

I've had a go at some clean and simple styles as I tend to load up my cards with lots of layers and I found it quite pleasing. Although I did have to say to myself a couple of times "move away from the table"
Anyway thanks for popping by and if you fancy joining in hop over to UK Scrappers

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

I made this frame at a class at Crafty Individuals and I decided to send it off as one of my Pay it Forward gifts. If you haven't joined in this then click here and come and join the fun.

I've used the seaside papers and stamps from Crafty individuals and the person who got this gift said it brightened her dreary winter day.

I still have 3 gifts left so if you feel lucky.

Thanks for dropping by

A Victorian style Butterfly box

Finally I can blog this butterfly box that I made for a friend's birthday.I got this shadow box from Crafty Individuals.
The butterflies are Marianne stamps from Cuddly Buddly. They stamp beautifully

The outside of the box was painted with pearl paint from Tesco and then over painted with cheap glitter paint from Home Bargains. I've used a favourite Purple Onion stamp Harlequin to add the pattern which I got from 3djean . I'm afraid it's out of stock at the moment but I'm sure it will be in soon.
I really enjoyed making this. I think I might do another that is if I can get another box.

Another Challenge

This year I decided to join in more challenges. I love looking at other peoples ideas for inspiration. Over on UK Stampers Effie is running a card sketch challenge. Once a fortnight she will give a sketch and more importantly an example which is a great help. So if you want join in pop over.

Here's my card for sketch 3 and 4. I've decided to use my bit box only to complete these sketches and do you know what it makes it easier rather than trawl through drawers and drawers of stuff I'm confining myself to one bit box. After all it's supposed to be a challenge right!
