Sundays Stampers Challenge Dream

Dream is one of my favourite words and this is one of my all time favourite cards that I made at Crafty Individuals. It's got pride of place on my craft shelf as I love looking at all the different elements. I've used a brayer to create the background and masked off a circle to make the sun. Flowers were coloured in with a white pen.
This challenge is over on Hels blog pop over and join in it's sooo easy
Thanks for dropping by.
Stamps- all CI
Inks- Distress inks, spiced marmalade, peeled paint, shabby shutters.

When is glue and stick not glue and stick?

Why it's when you're invited to one of Gail's get togethers. I toddled along thinking I was in for a day of getting messy with glue when she really meant we were tackling something that needed painting and SEWING! Boy was I totally out of my comfort zone. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone for being so generous with their stash . I turned up poorly prepared. Well if you thought you were going to glue and stick what would you have taken...... yes glue and possibly double sided tape. I've linked the instructions here to make this lovely dickie bird as I was so over whelmed. He's proudly hanging in my craft room and I love him.
Next session we're making a notelet box and notelets, anyone any suggestions what I should take along?

Thanks for dropping by please feel free to leave a comment I love reading them

Ciao Ravenna

I'm returning home from Italy today and I can't wait to get crafting. I haven't done a thing for two whole weeks! There are no craft shops here but a girl can always find little things that can be useful, I went along to the local market yesterday and found a fab stall selling lace. So I spend an hour or so rummaging. Then I found a bead stall that was selling assorted silver charms by the weight. Shame I had to consider my luggage allowance! But hopefully I will be back in the autumn as Phil is working here. In the meantime here's a piccy of all the things I managed to buy.

Grungepaper Workshop

Earlier this week I went along to a grungepaper workshop at Samuel Taylors in Brighouse. Quite a drive from Middlesbro but I stayed over in Leeds with my crafting friend Gill. As she usually drives over to Crafty Individuals I thought it was time we went to a class over her way.

We had a lovely teacher called Liz who showed us how to use grungeboard/paper. Her group of regulars made us very welcome. We had a great time getting inky fingers and I even managed to finish the brooch. I came home with plenty of stash to finish off three cards and a box . I've managed to finish off a couple of the cards and the box.

I really like grungepaper so has anyone out there got any good sites/tutorials for me to visit?

Bonny Buttons

This week I couldn't resist the temptation to pop into a local craft shop, the owner a lovely lady called Grace who stocks a wide range of crafty things, not all in my style. However in amongst the ribbons I spotted these lovely sequin/looped buttons. She admitted she had fallen in love with them but hadn't the faintest idea what to do with them. To me they shouted flower centers so we sat down and played a while and of course I bought some. They were rather pricey so I just got 25cms. So I made up some samples and gave them to Grace to display in the shop. I don't know about you but I love to see samples so that it gives me ideas how to use the stuff.

Jigsaw Challenge

Over on UKStampers I took part in the altered jigsaw challenge. Sid kindly sent out two enormous jigsaw pieces for us to alter. I used papers and images from Crafty Individuals and the sentiment was a Hero Arts stamp. I made into a hangy thing by adding the wire and voila there we are. These challenges can be fun why not pop over and see if anything catches your eye.

Sugar Candy Girl

Once a month a friend and I go along to a local sheltered home to cardmake. We've been going for about 4 years and the ladies love it. Next month we're going to play with the Sugar Nellies stamps.

Here she is looking good enough to eat. I can't seem to stop putting my punched flowers through the bug!

I've just re-read one of my previous posts and I'm supposed to be posting everyday ....ooops failed there then.
