Steampunk

A few weeks ago at  the Crafty Individuals workshop we got to play with the new steampunk stamps jean has brought out. These are great for those hard to do men's cards. I've used a grey/black/plum combination which goes really well with Tim's hardware. I can see that these stamps will become a firm favourite.

Fancy a spot of line dancing?

Ok are you ready have you got your dancing shoes on......       take a step to the left

 Now one to the right.....
 Then one to the middle......
And if you've still got the energy one to the left and the right
Yes folks this week we've been making stepp cards in class. I can't line dance for the life of me I have no coordination but I rather enjoyed making these step cards.
Thanks for dropping by

Harrogate Stash

Before I went I convinced myself I didn't need anything. I could go and look, enjoy the demos, take photos. I didn't need to rush and buy everything in sight. I could do this.... and did I NO. As soon as I saw the new sentiment stamps at Lily of the Valley the purse was out and I was handing over my cash. So once I'd started there was no stopping, so despite not needing anything I came home with this lot!
Definately won't buy anything at the September show ... how can I be so sure? I'll be half way round the world in New Zealand watching rugby. Oh well I can always try again next year

52 Card Challenge week 9

I'm running late on the 52 card challenge running over on UK Scrappers I think it's onto week 11 but I'm lingering on week 9. This is a tag book that I made for my friend's son who will be 21 next week.
I'm going to put some family photos on the tags.

I've made the book by using pre-folded cards as the inserts by turning them round so that the fold is on the outside. You do need to trim them top and side so that they don't show but this is a quick and easy way to make up a book. I've used Basic Grey Majolaine to decorate, which is great for men's cards.

Thanks for droping by and if you fancy joining in it's not too late and there's no pressure to catch up.

Ship Ahoy

A couple of weeks ago at a Crafty Individuals workshop we got to play with some of the lovely new stamps Jean and Malcolm have designed. Men's cards are always tricky but these are just ideal.
There's a bit of steampunk and hinges and lots of lovely hardware stamps.
Then just to soften it a bit I've stamped those lovely butterflies. All the stamps I've used can be found in the shop over on Crafty Individuals
And how surprised was I when I saw my Tags featured on Jean's blog.  I think I may have to change my name though as I was listed with Zuzu and Tassy. Janet sounded so boring!
Hi to all those peeps who have popped over from Crafty Individuals, thanks for stopping by.
