It only takes four fat quarters!
A few weeks ago I was invited to a sewing session with the girls. we decided to meet with our machines for a day of fun, tea, cake and of course sewing. Now the last time I made something using my machine ,apart from taking up the hem of my jeans, was some time ago ok a long time ago when I sat my "o" level needlework exam. But hey they said " you only need 4 fat quarters" to make a delightful bag. Well I thought it can't be that hard, can it? Plus I was in the company of some accomplished sewers. So on a bright Friday we set to and 6 hours later mine resembled a placemat as did my friend Julie's. But I persevered and brought it along to the next crop and 4 hours later here it is.
This gorgeous flower brooch was made by Gail.
